Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the boutique team in delivering exceptional client experiences and excellence in boutique operations and client service.
- Drive the boutique’s financial growth and profitability in line with retail strategy; represent Cartier with clients, partners, team members and peers.
- Manage boutique operations and the team, and actively create and implement the annual action plan; work with local headquarters on initiatives to animate the boutique, recruit new clients and nurture existing clients, particularly high-end clientele.
- Develop omnichannel business opportunities and a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape, local community and trends.
- Create long-term action plans to exceed sales targets, identify and pursue opportunities, drive boutique and category performance, manage sales KPIs and individual targets, and use monthly one-to-one meetings to foster continuous improvement.
- Drive high-end category performance and maintain the boutique’s Prestige-category status; leverage visual merchandising and collaborate on display and rotation plans to increase commercial performance and brand excitement.
- Improve client knowledge and data capture; use clienteling tools, including My clients and the CRM program, to enrich client profiles.
- Develop and execute client development plans, clienteling initiatives and follow-up; build the team’s client portfolio and define and monitor dedicated KPIs.
- Use client experience tools, including CEB and voice-of-client feedback, to improve satisfaction and ensure feedback is followed up.
- Build relationships with relevant local communities, including artists, political figures, philanthropy and culture, leverage VIPs as centers of influence, and develop partnerships with commercial third parties such as guides, personal shoppers and department store managers.
- Use client knowledge to engage visitors, prospects and clients; curate exceptional experiences across client journeys, including Maison-related activities, online and offline events, concierge and in-store hospitality, boutique pickup, distance sales and e-commerce ship-from-store services.
- Partner with the corporate office to position the boutique as an experience center through Maison-related activities and special client events, both online and offline.
- Inspire and lead an inclusive team; communicate the Maison’s vision, strategy and business goals through regular team meetings and morning briefings, and energize the team throughout the year.
- Attract, source and develop talent; maintain a candidate pool and partner with HR, sales coaches and learning and development teams on employee development plans, performance reviews and individual development plans.
- Promote learning through co-development exercises that address boutique challenges; lead performance management and provide regular feedback and on-the-spot coaching.
- Structure onboarding and development journeys for new team members around Maison DNA topics and career paths; act as a brand ambassador and lead by example in embodying Maison values.
- Uphold the boutique’s image; supervise visual merchandising and brand-image guidelines, including grooming, and partner with corporate teams on maintenance and cleaning to meet Cartier standards.
- Oversee boutique operations and ensure execution of procedures and compliance activities, including sales and finance procedures, cash management, and security and safety procedures.
- Manage inventory of finished goods, non-finished goods, consumables and customer-service products; optimize controllable operating expenses and manage vendor partnerships.
- Improve boutique operations and flows to enhance client experience, including the boutique’s role as a fulfillment center; promote new services and effective adoption of tools such as mobile POS and sales force tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- 10 years of retail experience, preferably in the luxury industry; 5–8 years in managerial positions.
- Spanish and English required; French and Portuguese are a plus.
- Knowledge of the watch and jewellery industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Demonstrates curiosity, open-mindedness, respect, a high level of precision, and a welcoming, collaborative approach.

Education
