Carolina Herrera seeks an Alterations Associate in Houston to perform luxury garment alterations and client fittings in a boutique setting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform precision alterations, repairs and finishing on luxury garments including eveningwear, bridal and tailored pieces to brand quality standards.
  • Conduct in-store fittings with clients, provide fit recommendations, and ensure alterations achieve the intended silhouette and comfort.
  • Operate and maintain sewing equipment (industrial machines, serger/overlocker) and pressing/steaming tools; ensure workplace safety and equipment upkeep.
  • Liaise with sales and client advisors to manage alteration orders, timelines and follow-up; maintain accurate alteration records and garment tracking.
  • Inspect finished garments for quality control, make final adjustments when required, and ensure all work reflects the maison's craftsmanship and presentation standards.
  • Coordinate with external ateliers or vendors for complex alterations as necessary while managing costs and delivery expectations.

Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification in tailoring/garment construction or equivalent professional experience in alterations.
