Canada Goose is seeking a Sample Maker to sew complete garments for new styles, refine prototypes, and support their introduction to bulk production alongside Product Integration and Sample Room QA. The role requires at least 5 years of clothing manufacturing experience and pays CAD 18.38–26.93 per hour, with actual offers depending on experience, skills, and role alignment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Sew complete garments for new developments from start to finish, applying required design changes to achieve the desired outcome.
- Work with the Product Integration team and Sample Room QA to introduce new styles into bulk production, minimizing risks, optimizing processes, reducing SAMs, and recording videos of the best sewing methods for future reference and to address production challenges proactively.
- Inspect and evaluate product quality.
- Learn to operate other machines and use other technologies and operations as needed.
- Keep the work area clean and safe.
Qualifications
- Experience sewing outerwear samples from start to finish.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and measurements, and ability to read BOMs and technical garment specifications.
- At least 5 years of experience in clothing manufacturing.
- English reading and writing skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills to work with the NPI team, Industrial Engineers, Mechanic, and Supervisor, and communicate sewing construction and pattern details.
- Experience as a Sample Sewer.
