Canada Goose is hiring a Quality Control Inspector in Scarborough, Ontario, to inspect in-process garment quality, identify and report defects, follow up on repairs and quality standards, and provide feedback to Production and QA. The role is full-time, with an hourly range of CAD 18.38–26.93; actual offers depend on experience, skills, and alignment with the role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Inspect production in-process and identify defects against Canada Goose quality criteria during day-to-day operations.
- Inspect and follow up on daily repairs on the production floor.
- Communicate with operators about sewing issues as needed.
- Inform other QA team members about issues.
- Follow up daily on the implementation and maintenance of quality standards.
- Provide regular feedback to the Production and QA teams on garment quality performance.
- Complete other duties as required to support the Production and QA department.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and work extra hours when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in the garment industry.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction.
- Proactive approach and accountability for assigned projects.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
- Ability to prioritize, work proactively and as part of a team, multitask, and handle challenges.
- Excellent common sense, decision-making, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to evaluate options and generate solutions.
- Confident, articulate, organized, detail-oriented, goal-oriented, self-motivated, and hardworking.
- Able to stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 8 hours; regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach below the waist and above the head; lift up to 30 lbs. daily; and walk frequently throughout the factory.
- Able to work in a manufacturing environment with products that include feathers.
