The Production Coordinator supports smooth production operations by coordinating materials, data, and communication across Production, QA, Raw Materials, Shipping/Receiving, and Procurement. The role maintains production status and inventory records, tracks material availability and shipments, and helps resolve workflow issues at Canada Goose’s Montreal office and manufacturing site.
Role & Responsibilities
- Connect Production, QA, Raw Materials, Shipping/Receiving, and Procurement to align materials and information and keep production on schedule.
- Maintain and update the production dashboard and boards daily to ensure status information is accurate.
- Support weekly Production Planning Meetings with relevant updates and follow-up.
- Work with QA, Production, and Warehouse teams to resolve material or workflow issues.
- Coordinate production priorities according to style plans and monthly delivery timelines.
- Monitor production flow and proactively flag delays or bottlenecks.
- Track raw material availability and coordinate requests for missing or urgent materials.
- Monitor inventory movements in D365 and support monthly reconciliation activities.
- Ensure material traceability and verify vendor-provided components, including thread, eyelets, and washers.
- Follow up on incoming shipments and communicate issues or shortages to Procurement.
- Support pre-production sample requests for new styles.
- Collect and process transfer orders and completed production materials from the production floor.
- Communicate urgent material needs among receiving, bundling, packing, and production teams.
- Generate all Down usage per MPO through Sourcemap.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience supporting a production, supply chain, or manufacturing environment in an administrative or coordination role.
- Post-secondary education in Industrial Engineering, Textile Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to Power BI is a plus.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and taking initiative to resolve issues before they escalate.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with confidence in making decisions and seeking guidance when needed.
