The Bulk Sewing Operator performs assigned sewing operations across styles, inspects materials, maintains quality and productivity, and supports timely production-line supply. The role is full-time in a clean, bright manufacturing environment, with an hourly range of CAD 18.62–20.59; actual offers depend on experience, skills, and alignment with the role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform assigned bulk sewing operations to the specified requirements and appearance standards.
- Inspect the quality of raw materials, including cut goods and trims, before sewing to ensure Canada Goose quality standards are met.
- Meet or exceed daily individual productivity targets while maintaining Canada Goose quality standards.
- Learn new operations and machine types to achieve the company’s goal of 100% efficiency or more.
- Work with the team to feed production lines with quality bulk panels on time.
- Follow Canada Goose rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing and apparel-industry sewing experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with AMS, seam serger, SN and DN machines, eyelets, auto quilt machines (PS 700, 800 and Richpeace), long-arm machines, seam-sealed machines, auto seamer/serger, heat press, snaps, and other machines assigned to bulk is considered a definite asset.
- Understand time management when performing multiple operations.
- Be able to stand, think and plan, and work well with others.
- Be able to identify all garment components.
- Maintain focus while feeding fabric through a machine.
- Have manual dexterity to make quick, coordinated movements with one or both hands to manipulate fabric.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, solve problems, and take initiative toward a solution.
- Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
