The Supervisor leads operational and customer service standards across the retail environment, overseeing cashier functions, visual merchandising, and team performance. Reporting to Store Management, this position balances supervisory responsibilities—including associate recruitment, training, and development—with hands-on cashier authority and point-of-sale management to maximize sales volume and minimize shrinkage.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maximize sales volume by maintaining high customer service standards and visual presentation consistency across the sales floor
- Supervise the cash register area and execute management-level register functions with accuracy and compliance
- Recruit, train, and develop Sales Associates while motivating team members to meet performance goals and objectives
- Maintain store appearance to reflect brand standards, including timely merchandise replenishment and execution of markdowns and floor plans
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through the Inventory Shrinkage Improvement Program and regular counting activities
- Communicate effectively with store staff and management regarding merchandise issues, concerns, and operational priorities
- Execute point-of-sale setup, pricing updates, and divisional marketing directives with attention to detail
- Manage non-selling tasks including shipment processing, inventory counting, and merchandise relocation
- Lead by example by demonstrating professional conduct, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and dress code standards
Qualifications
- Demonstrated supervisory or lead-level retail experience
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and cash register operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to rotating schedules as assigned
