Role & Responsibilities
- Establish product vision and build the women's North America apparel line plan, partnering with retail buyers and regional merchandisers to address all business needs
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop short and long-range merchandising strategies and objectives for women's apparel categories
- Lead calendar adherence for North America apparel merchandising deliverables and cross-functional critical deadlines
- Bring consumer and market perspective to the design and product development process by tracking attitude and lifestyle trends
- Provide direction to design and technical design teams to ensure successful implementation of merchandising strategies
- Collaborate with design to identify seasonal brand messaging and confirm product and assortment details
- Work with sourcing partners to execute product development, track samples, review prototypes, and establish margin targets
- Partner with marketing and packaging teams to develop product messaging and packaging strategy
- Manage seasonal projections and analyze bookings, reporting KPIs including adoption rates, style productivity, and alignment
- Support the senior director of women's merchandising on ad-hoc projects and analysis requests
- Guide and mentor the associate merchandiser
- Provide regional and buying teams with product knowledge and serve as an informational resource
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of progressive global merchandising experience
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or equivalent
- Strategic thinker with ability to recognize opportunities and influence decision makers toward execution
- Strong product sense with proven experience driving product assortments and partnering with design on product concepts
- Exceptional problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- High-level analytical skills and conceptual creative ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel as necessary
