Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the men's wovens design team to develop cohesive and brand-appropriate concepts for CK Jeans and CK Sportswear in collaboration with the EVP Global Design and Senior Director of Men's Sweater and Cut & Sew
- Develop design concepts based on merchandising planning, including research and development of color, fabrics, prints, graphics, and hardware
- Oversee the print team with dotted-line authority to ensure alignment on all CK Jeans and CK Sportswear development and final print execution
- Attend fittings and review prototypes, or delegate team attendance as appropriate once team strengths are identified
- Communicate all design information to pertinent stakeholders including Sourcing, Merchandising, and Technical Design; ensure technical package completeness
- Prepare design presentations for review meetings and organize relevant documentation such as mill cards and collection files
- Ensure timely line development by adhering to time and action calendars and support workflow planning to promote team work-life balance
- Manage staff selection, training, and development in conjunction with the EVP Global Design
Qualifications
- 10–12 years of design experience with specialization in men's wovens and prints
- Proficiency in fabric development with ability to balance quality and cost to create competitive products
- Strong experience partnering with raw materials teams on novelty fabric searches
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Fashion Design
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
- High fashion aesthetic sensibility
- Willingness to travel as required
