Calvin Klein Associate Designer, Men's Accessories

Role & Responsibilities

• Conduct market and vintage research in collaboration with the Design Director through in-store shopping, periodicals, and online resources
• Create mood boards and presentation materials for milestone meetings and visual merchandising displays
• Develop hand sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings for men's accessories across bags, small leather goods, and belts
• Support the creation of color specifications and cards for all full-price bags, small leather goods, and belts
• Facilitate technical drawing creation with detailed specifications including hardware and trim details for full-price and outlet collections
• Drive technical drawings and specifications for small leather goods and belts across the global men's accessories line
• Manage and facilitate Centric/PLM data input and uploading across the entire product lifecycle from prototype through bulk production
• Create and manage correction specifications, clearly communicating technical construction details and design intent through technical specs, photos, and revision pages
• Facilitate design revisions and problem-solving tasks in response to regional and leadership feedback during prototype and approval milestone phases
• Partner with studio managers and technical designers to facilitate image creation and uploading to Prana asset management system
• Develop visual change documentation outlining all design modifications related to sales, marketing, and sample specifications
• Maintain daily communication with product development partners in New York and Asia to resolve technical issues and ensure clear specification communication
• Organize and maintain sample closets, material storage, and presentation spaces

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accessories design or related design experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Accessories Design
• Strong technical knowledge of bag construction and ability to communicate design corrections and specifications
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Excel, and PLM software
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple seasons simultaneously while maintaining product quality consistency
• Strong hand-sketching ability; knowledge of Rhino 3D and/or SolidWorks is preferred
• Mock-up and hand craft abilities preferred

Skills

Experience

3–5 years of accessories design or related experience in the fashion industry, with demonstrated expertise in developing men's accessories including bags, small leather goods, or belts. Experience with technical specification development, PLM systems, and cross-functional collaboration with product development and manufacturing partners is essential.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Accessories Design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 76,300 to USD 103,100 per annum.
