The Assistant Store Manager leads the retail operations and team performance at Calvin Klein, working collaboratively with the Store Manager to exceed sales targets and deliver exceptional brand standards. This role encompasses customer experience leadership, operational efficiency, inventory management, team recruitment and development, and loss prevention oversight. The Assistant Manager coaches associates on product knowledge, maintains merchandising standards, manages scheduling aligned with payroll budgets, and drives a culture of continuous improvement and inclusion.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead customer greeting and service standards, providing real-time coaching to associates and ensuring exceptional in-store experience delivery
- Oversee merchandising execution and inventory management, coordinating with Store Manager on new arrival placement and sell-through optimization
- Recruit, onboard, and develop retail talent; evaluate team performance and provide feedback to Store Manager
- Manage staff scheduling to align with payroll strategies and budget constraints; oversee operational expenses
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and loss prevention protocols; provide training and coaching on security awareness
- Conduct business analysis and convey performance insights and customer feedback to Store Manager
- Motivate and inspire associates to achieve sales goals while upholding brand standards and company values
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement initiatives across the store team
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of retail store management experience
- Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Physical capability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and squat for prolonged periods; ability to carry up to 20 pounds

Minimum 1 year of retail store management experience is required. Experience in brand-focused retail environments, team leadership, sales performance management, and multi-site or multi-unit operations is highly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred.
