About Byredo

Byredo is a design-led luxury fragrance and lifestyle maison, internationally recognised for its distinctive perfumes, artisanal craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetic. Originating as a niche perfume house, the brand operates across retail, wholesale and digital channels and pursues a creative, detail-focused approach to product and brand experience.

Byredo in Paris seeks a Fragrance Product Manager to lead NPD and product lifecycle for its fragrance portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of fragrance products—from strategic brief and concept development to industrialisation, launch and post-launch performance monitoring.
  • Define portfolio strategy and roadmap, aligning assortment, price architecture and SKU rationalisation with commercial targets and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with perfumers, R&D and external development houses to translate creative briefs into technically feasible formulas while protecting olfactive intent.
  • Manage packaging and industrialisation: coordinate with design, suppliers and factories to deliver high-quality packaging solutions on time and to cost.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams (marketing, sales, supply chain, quality, regulatory) and drive project timelines, milestones and launch readiness.
  • Develop product costings, margin analyses and trade-off recommendations to support commercial decisions and retail/wholesale pricing.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and product safety by liaising with regulatory and quality teams and monitoring applicable fragrance restrictions.
  • Analyse market trends and consumer insights to inform NPD priorities, line extensions and seasonal launches; track KPI performance post-launch.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, cosmetic science, chemistry, perfumery or related discipline; advanced perfumery training is a strong plus.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product management, NPD or equivalent role within fragrance, prestige beauty or luxury consumer goods.
  • Demonstrable experience launching fragrance products and managing cross-functional stakeholders across retail and wholesale channels.
  • Solid commercial acumen with experience in costing, pricing and margin analysis for consumer-packaged goods.
  • Knowledge of fragrance development processes, packaging industrialisation and supplier management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to fragrances (e.g., IFRA guidelines) and product safety requirements.
  • Strong project management, organisational skills and ability to manage concurrent projects to strict timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear product briefs and present to senior stakeholders.
