Byredo is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Covent Garden boutique in London—lead sales, operations and client experience for the luxury fragrance house.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager to deliver and exceed sales, conversion and KPI targets for the Covent Garden boutique.
- Lead daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling and adherence to loss-prevention controls.
- Coach, develop and motivate the sales team to uphold exemplary clienteling and product knowledge standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising and boutique presentation in line with global Byredo standards and local directives.
- Manage stock processes: receiving, merchandising, cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
- Create staff rotas, manage attendance and ensure operational compliance with company policies and local legislation.
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and performance reviews for store personnel.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily/weekly sales and operational reports to regional leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven retail experience within luxury beauty, fragrance or premium cosmetics (ideally with boutique environment exposure).
- Demonstrable supervisory or assistant management experience, with a track record of coaching teams to meet commercial targets.
- Strong commercial acumen: sales forecasting, KPI ownership and basic financial literacy.
- Excellent clienteling and interpersonal skills with discretion and a polished manner.
- High standards for visual presentation and brand representation.

Experience
Typically 2+ years in luxury retail or beauty with at least 12 months in a supervisory or assistant managerial capacity; experience in boutique environments and direct client advisory is highly desirable.
Education
Secondary education completed; a vocational qualification in retail, beauty, or retail management is advantageous but not mandatory.
