Byredo is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Selfridges concession in London. Lead retail operations and client experience for the luxury fragrance boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving daily and monthly sales targets and KPI objectives for the Selfridges London concession.
- Lead and motivate the sales team on the shop floor to deliver exceptional luxury service, expert product advice and high-value clienteling.
- Drive CRM engagement and aftercare through proactive follow-up, appointment bookings and personalised client communications.
- Ensure brand visual merchandising and product presentation adhere to Byredo standards and Selfridges directives, including seasonal resets and launches.
- Manage stock control, deliveries, inventory reconciliations and loss-prevention procedures in collaboration with the Store Manager and central operations.
- Coach, develop and schedule team members; conduct onboarding and product training to elevate product knowledge across fragrance and beauty ranges.
- Operate point-of-sale processes, handle cash reconciliation, and resolve customer escalations with discretion and professionalism.
- Coordinate with wholesale/department store contacts and regional operations for promotions, events and product launches hosted at Selfridges.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in luxury retail with demonstrable sales achievement, ideally within fragrance, cosmetics or premium beauty.
- Experience supervising or coaching small retail teams; capable of deputising for the Store Manager.
- Strong clienteling skills and a customer-first approach appropriate to a high-end department store environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and develop sales performance.
- Numerical fluency for sales reporting, stock reconciliation and KPI monitoring.
- Right to work in the UK.

Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in luxury retail, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity, preferably within fragrance, cosmetics or premium lifestyle brands.
Education
Secondary education; diploma or certification in retail management, beauty or hospitality is desirable but not required.
