Role & Responsibilities

  • Measure new customers, perform fittings and skilfully mark finished garments for alteration to ensure precise fit and finish
  • Inspect, administer and organise alteration orders, alteration documentation and workroom returns with meticulous attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with retail sales teams, main factories and local adjustment workrooms; inform customers when garments are ready for collection
  • Maintain and manage the tailoring room and associated resources, building local networks of technical specialists (e.g., knitwear, leather)
  • Deliver high standards of client service and support the sales team by becoming competent in selling garments and accessories

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ tailoring experience, preferably with fashion brands or within full-apparel clothing factories
  • Proven experience working within a retail environment or client-facing setting
  • High-level tailoring and alteration skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Professional, business-like appearance and reliable timekeeping
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to learn and capacity to work collaboratively with sales and technical teams
