Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager with policies and procedures to streamline and safeguard the store operations
  • Act as General Manager or Assistant General Manager when required to ensure efficient front and back-of-house store operations
  • Manage sales floor efficiency through operational support roles including cashiers, wrappers, and runners to enhance customer experience and sales performance
  • Optimize staff schedules to align with customer traffic flows and operational demands while maintaining service standards
  • Oversee stockroom management including deliveries (including overnight operations), dispatches, and inventory processes
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing Asset and Profit Protection functions to influence service delivery and minimize loss
  • Ensure full compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and internal processes
  • Maintain the store building and all internal areas to the highest standard across front and back-of-house operations, including housekeeping responsibility
  • Drive digital strategy adoption and engagement with new technology initiatives across all store areas
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop all store operational support staff while fostering a coaching environment within the Operations team
  • Cascade company communications to all store team members and lead by example in embracing brand messaging
  • Serve as the ultimate Burberry Brand Ambassador embodying Protect, Explore, and Inspire core values
  • Demonstrate Burberry Leadership behaviours in all areas of store and business interactions

Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership and people management capabilities
  • Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop, and assess personnel
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness with strong problem-solving skills in risk minimization and obstacle resolution
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in highly pressured environments
  • Strong operational performance within high-volume, high-turnover retail environments or relevant service sector experience
  • Technical proficiency with SAP and MS Office applications
  • Sound commercial and brand awareness
