Burberry London (Selfridges) seeks a Store Operations Assistant to manage inventory, omnichannel fulfilment and stockroom operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end inventory control: receive stock deliveries from hub/warehouse, verify accuracy against documentation and report discrepancies.
- Support omnichannel fulfilment and sales teams by retrieving and preparing stock for customer orders and in‑store requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain a tidy, compliant and efficient back‑of‑house environment aligned with Retail Operations standards.
- Perform quality control checks on products and escalate any issues to the store lead.
- Support aftersales activities including alterations, repairs and personalisation to enhance the client experience.
- Ensure stockroom equipment is operational and log any incidents or service requests via Ask services.
- Deliver ad‑hoc administrative support: telephone handling, liaising with customer service, processing stationery and supermarket orders.
- Assist store management with events, visual merchandising, stocktakes and other operational tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous experience with SAP is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and thrive in a busy retail environment.
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in retail operations, stockroom or back‑of‑house roles is desirable; experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent preferred.
