The Store Manager leads Burberry’s Vancouver store, developing the team, elevating customer experience and driving commercial and operational performance. The role requires luxury retail and management experience, fluency in the local language and English, and flexibility to meet store needs. Expected base pay is CAD 27.50–28.50 per hour at commencement; the at-will position may also include commissions, discretionary bonuses, incentive packages and company-sponsored benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the store, set high standards and inspire the team to achieve them.
- Own the employee experience, improving employee satisfaction and elevating team behaviours.
- Own the customer experience, improving customer satisfaction and strengthening brand loyalty.
- Drive performance and growth through strong operational and commercial execution.
- Maintain a constant focus on the Burberry brand, driving engagement, knowledge and passion across the store team.
- Be present on the shop floor and lead by example as a brand ambassador, modelling Burberry behaviours.
- Monitor, coach and provide feedback to the store team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain a luxury environment and ensure the excellent execution and upkeep of Visual Merchandising guidelines throughout the store.
- Drive the use of digital assets to enhance the customer experience.
- Retain and develop talent.
- Lead, inspire and manage a high-performing, positive store team.
- Elevate the store team's capabilities through recruitment, staff development, mobility and effective succession planning.
- Establish a learning culture and maintain a strong connection between the store team and the brand.
- Advocate for the product and maintain excellent product knowledge, driving the same standard across the team.
- Maintain a strong understanding of product sales performance and optimise sales of available inventory.
- Nurture customer relationships and establish customer-focused behaviours across the store team.
- Build and cultivate long-term customer relationships, and lead the team to do the same.
- Drive store performance and productivity.
- Build and maintain familiarity with the local external environment, including customers, competitors and talent.
- Maintain a commercial mindset and continually identify and convert opportunities to drive store performance.
- Drive operational excellence across all areas of the store.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, policies and initiatives.
- Oversee health and safety.
- Ensure the store has a written emergency evacuation plan, practise it at least annually with all employees, and record completion in Rivo.

- Fluency in the local language and English.
- Passion for and interest in fashion, with a luxury ethos.

- Flexibility to work as required to meet store needs.
- Experience in a luxury brand or luxury service and selling environment.
- Retail management experience appropriate to the role, assessed based on the size and complexity of previous roles; assessment metrics include sales turnover and volume, and the number and types of roles previously managed.
