Role & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for store operations, establishing and maintaining the highest standards of brand presentation and customer experience
- Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing team through recruitment, continuous coaching, and effective succession planning
- Drive sales performance and revenue growth while maintaining strong conversion rates and optimizing inventory management
- Establish and embed customer-centric behaviours across the store team, building and cultivating long-term customer relationships
- Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards and luxury environment execution in compliance with brand guidelines
- Lead the store team to deliver consistently against Burberry Experience and Data Capture scores
- Ensure operational excellence across all store functions including health and safety, compliance, and emergency procedures
- Actively mentor team members on product knowledge, brand values, and service excellence standards
- Monitor and analyze local market conditions, competitors, and customer preferences to inform strategic decisions
- Drive digital asset utilization and technology adoption to enhance customer engagement and store operations
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in luxury retail management with accountability for sales performance and team leadership
- Proven ability to align with and model Burberry-equivalent retail management behaviours (Service Focused, Leading to Inspire, Commercially Aware, Developing Talent, Driving Excellence)
- Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning, customer service excellence, and product knowledge
- Experience managing multiple teams and driving organizational development and talent mobility
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
- Awareness of local employment law, health and safety legislation, and retail operations compliance requirements
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of retail management experience in luxury or premium service environments, with demonstrated success managing multi-person teams and achieving sales targets. Prior experience in fashion, apparel, or luxury goods retail is highly valued.
Education
Secondary education required; further qualification in retail management, business administration, or hospitality is advantageous.
