Burberry is seeking a Store Manager to lead store standards, team development, customer experience and commercial and operational performance. The role requires luxury retail or service and selling experience, appropriate retail management experience, and local language plus English; the expected starting base salary is $27–$29 per hour.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the store, set high standards and inspire the team to achieve them.
  • Take ownership of the employee experience, driving employee satisfaction and elevating team behaviours.
  • Own the customer experience, improving customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.
  • Drive performance and growth through strong operational and commercial execution.
  • Maintain a constant focus on Burberry, building brand engagement, knowledge and passion across the store team.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, act as a brand ambassador and model Burberry behaviours.
  • Monitor, coach and provide feedback to the store team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain a luxury environment and ensure excellent execution and upkeep of visual merchandising guidelines throughout the store.
  • Drive the use of digital assets to enhance the customer experience.
  • Retain and develop talent; lead, inspire and manage a high-performing, positive store team.
  • Elevate team capability through recruitment, staff development, mobility and effective succession planning.
  • Establish a learning culture and maintain a strong connection between the store team and Burberry.
  • Advocate for the product, maintain excellent product knowledge and drive the same standard across the team.
  • Understand product sales performance and optimise sales of available inventory.
  • Establish customer-focused behaviours across the store team; build and cultivate long-term customer relationships and lead the team to do the same.
  • Drive store performance and productivity.
  • Maintain familiarity with the local external environment, including customers, competitors and talent.
  • Maintain a commercial mindset and identify and convert opportunities to improve store performance.
  • Drive operational excellence across all areas of the store.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, policies and initiatives.
  • Ensure the store has a written emergency evacuation plan, practise it at least annually with all employees, and record completion in Rivo.

Qualifications

  • Local language and English.
  • Passion for and interest in fashion, with a luxury ethos.
  • Digital awareness and interest, with the ability to navigate social media and e-commerce sites comfortably.
  • Awareness of local employment and retail legislation.
  • Flexibility to work as required to meet store needs.
  • Experience in a luxury brand or luxury service and selling environment.
  • Retail management experience appropriate to the role, assessed in relation to the size and complexity of previous roles, including sales turnover and volume and the number and types of roles previously managed.

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 27 to USD 29 per hour.
