Burberry hiring a Statutory Accounting Manager in Leeds — lead statutory accounts and audit coordination for Burberry's multi‑entity finance function.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end coordination, review and timely submission of statutory accounts across Burberry’s group entities.
- Manage relationships and audit activity with external auditors to secure smooth, compliant and timely audit deliveries.
- Partner with Tax, Payroll, Company Secretariat, IT and other internal teams to resolve statutory accounting issues and maintain delivery momentum.
- Review statutory accounting outputs to identify risks, recurring themes and opportunities for process and control improvements.
- Provide technical guidance, prioritisation and quality standards to team members to ensure consistent delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in statutory accounting processes, documentation and governance frameworks.
Qualifications
- Qualified professional accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA).
- Demonstrable statutory accounting expertise within a multi‑entity or multi‑territory environment.
- Background in audit or professional services with direct experience supporting or managing statutory audits.
- Fluent technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP applicable to reporting jurisdictions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills; able to translate technical detail into clear outcomes.

Experience
Proven experience as a qualified accountant with substantive statutory accounting responsibility across multiple entities or territories, plus hands‑on exposure to statutory audits from either an audit/professional services background or in‑house finance function.
Education
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA).
