Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for raw materials and components (textiles, leather, hardware) aligned with product, cost and sustainability objectives.
  • Identify, qualify and manage a global supplier base; lead supplier selection, negotiation and contract finalisation.
  • Partner closely with design, product development and production teams to ensure material feasibility, quality standards and timely delivery.
  • Implement supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement programmes (cost, quality, lead time, sustainability).
  • Drive cost modelling, total cost of ownership analysis and sourcing risk mitigation (capacity, geographic concentration, compliance).
  • Lead supplier audits and ensure adherence to social, environmental and product compliance standards.
  • Manage cross-functional projects such as supplier onboarding, dual-sourcing strategies and nearshoring initiatives.
  • Coach and develop sourcing team members; interface with senior management to report on sourcing KPIs and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Textiles or a related discipline; advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management within fashion/apparel or leather goods.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of materials (textiles, leather, hardware) and manufacturing processes used in luxury products.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost modelling and total-cost optimization.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards and supplier compliance frameworks (e.g., traceability, chemical management).
