Role & Responsibilities
- Manage seasonal placement and follow‑through of finished goods for assigned category(ies), ensuring on‑time delivery, quality and cost objectives are met.
- Advise vendors on seasonal buying/production calendars, unit plans and negotiate minimums in partnership with line managers.
- Coordinate raw material call‑offs and receipts with manufacturers to align production to delivery schedules and Time & Action calendar.
- Update PLM with vendor costs and liaise with product development to maintain accurate BOM information.
- Partner with product development, technical and QA teams to secure fit approvals, resolve quality issues and enforce production compliance.
- Conduct seasonal price and margin analysis across vendors and categories to support pricing finalisation and counter‑sourcing decisions.
- Monitor pre‑buy vs actual performance and collaborate with raw materials teams to identify and rectify shortfalls.
- Communicate seasonal requirements and best practices to vendors and participate in vendor performance reviews.
- Manage workload prioritisation within the sourcing team and train/develop Sourcing Assistant(s) as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing role with exposure to sourcing or vendor management.
- Strong costing and negotiation capabilities with commercial acumen.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SAP and PLM is desirable.
- Familiarity with retail math and BOM management.
- Organised, detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through and the ability to react to changing priorities.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across cross‑functional teams; willingness to travel if required.
Skills
Experience
Practical experience in production/manufacturing and hands‑on involvement with vendor management, sourcing calendars and costing; prior exposure to luxury or apparel supply chains is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, Textiles, Fashion Technology or a related discipline preferred.
