Burberry seeks a Showroom Samples Assistant in London to manage seasonal sample receipt, tracking, and inventory across global markets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive and process goods for all Mainline collections across six markets annually, including Runway collections ahead of market presentations
- Maintain precise tracking and inventory management of all showroom samples using Launchmetrics, tracking systems, and digital documentation tools
- Oversee the complete samples lifecycle, including seasonal clearances and end-of-life procedures such as sample sales, archival, and recycling
- Collaborate with Product Development to identify and resolve problematic samples
- Regularly clean, organize, and maintain sample storage areas and back-of-house facilities to preserve luxury standards
- Manage daily ad hoc sample requests, flag interdepartmental conflicts, and escalate issues appropriately
- Facilitate large-scale sample handovers for digital commerce pre-styling, photography shoots, and campaigns
- Support preparation of Paris market shipments in partnership with Trade Compliance, Shipping, and Logistics teams
- Maintain and update the Launchmetrics system, verify samples, upload imagery, and recall overdue items
- Conduct monthly reporting on overdue and outstanding sample loans and complete seasonal back-of-house audits
- Update and verify offsite sample inventories
- Track and report on sample damage following large-scale campaigns and e-commerce shoots
- Uphold Health and Safety standards throughout all operations
Qualifications
- Fluent written and spoken English
- PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and planning skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Flexible and proactive approach to working under pressure
