Burberry seeks a Service Lead for fixed-term contract in Montreal, Quebec, to supervise sales team and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, assist and motivate sales associates to consistently deliver high-value experiences on the selling floor and ensure memorable customer interactions
  • Partner with associates to improve selling skills and close sales in order to achieve sales goals and KPIs
  • Lead a high-performing, customer-facing, service-oriented team with coaching and feedback to ensure the full Burberry Experience is delivered in line with brand strategies
  • Manage customer flow to set the pace and standard for excellent service, ensuring no client is left unattended
  • Drive partnership on the selling floor between sales associates, specialists, stock associates and operations team
  • Coach associates in the moment and after every transaction, discussing successes and opportunities with proper follow-through
  • Develop and retain talented employees through recognition, reward, monthly development plans and annual performance reviews
  • Lead by example by delivering the Burberry Experience to customers when necessary
  • Partner with store management to own Burberry Experience training, using morning and weekly meetings for role-play and reinforcement
  • Deliver formal performance feedback through monthly Burberry Experience Development Plans in partnership with store management
  • Resolve difficult customer issues and escalate to management when necessary
  • Process post-void transactions, authorize promotional discounts and employee sales in the absence of store management
  • Drive the digital experience in store and use digital resources for communication when face-to-face is not possible
  • Maintain thorough understanding of business and effectively communicate needs and ideas to advance the business
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies, procedures and operational guidelines
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures including securing merchandise, alarming store and POS procedures
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of previous supervisory or management experience in retail sales
  • Advanced knowledge of POS systems
  • Experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort with digital tools
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to deliver memorable client experiences
  • Demonstrated coaching and team leadership capability

Experience
