Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate sales associates to deliver consistently high-value customer experiences on the selling floor, maintaining memorable interactions and acting as a quality control supervisor
- Partner with associates to improve selling skills and close sales in order to achieve sales goals and performance KPIs
- Lead a high-performing, customer-facing, service-oriented team; coach and provide feedback to ensure all customers receive the full Burberry Experience in line with brand strategies
- Manage customer flow to ensure optimal service delivery and that no client is left unattended; establish and maintain service excellence standards
- Drive collaboration between sales associates, specialists, stock associates, and operations team on the selling floor
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback after every transaction and client interaction, discussing successes and opportunities with associates
- Develop and retain talented employees by recognizing and rewarding performance through monthly development plans and annual performance reviews
- Lead by example by delivering the Burberry Experience to customers when necessary
- Partner with store management to establish Burberry Experience training initiatives; reinforce key elements through morning and weekly meetings using role-play and peer coaching
- Deliver formal performance feedback in partnership with store management through monthly Burberry Experience Development Plans
- Resolve difficult customer issues and escalate to management when necessary
- Process post-void transactions, authorize promotional discounts, and manage employee sales in the absence of store management
- Drive the digital in-store experience and use digital resources for communication when face-to-face interaction is not possible
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the business and communicate needs and ideas to support continued growth
- Ensure comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures; consistently follow and enforce company guidelines on operations
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including securing doors, windows, and merchandise; ensure proper alarm and POS procedures
- Execute additional duties as required
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Previous experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort with digital tools
- 1–2 years of previous supervisory or management experience in retail sales
