Leading luxury fashion house — Paris hiring Senior Manager, Photography Studio to lead studio operations, production and creative delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the in-house photography studio, including photographers, retouchers, assistants and production coordinators, ensuring consistent delivery of the brand's visual identity.
- Define and implement the studio's creative and technical strategy in collaboration with Creative Direction, Fashion, E‑commerce and Marketing teams.
- Oversee end-to-end production workflows: pre-production planning, casting, set and prop logistics, shoot direction, on-set technical supervision and post-production delivery.
- Manage studio budgets, vendor contracts and procurement of equipment and services (rental houses, stylists, retouching houses), ensuring cost control and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain post-production pipelines, quality-control processes and metadata standards for DAM ingestion and asset distribution.
- Ensure uptime and maintenance of photographic equipment, lighting systems and colour-management tools; plan regular technical upgrades.
- Recruit, mentor and develop studio staff; set objectives, run performance reviews and drive continuous improvement in workflows and output.
- Implement health & safety, intellectual property and archival procedures for the studio; ensure compliance with legal and brand requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership in a high-end commercial or fashion photography studio with 7+ years of industry experience and at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Demonstrable portfolio of fashion, product or advertising photography with a deep understanding of brand-driven visual language.
- Strong commercial experience managing budgets, vendor relationships and multi-stakeholder production schedules.
- Advanced technical knowledge of photographic and lighting equipment, colour management and studio workflows.
- Proven experience with post-production processes, retouching standards and DAM integration for omnichannel distribution.
- Excellent interpersonal and project-management skills; experience leading multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Film or equivalent professional experience.
