Burberry is hiring a Senior Manager, IT Internal Audit in London — lead IT audits, technology risk and controls, reporting to the Audit Director.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the IT internal audit agenda, assessing technology risk, change initiatives and control effectiveness across global operations.
- Lead and deliver specialist IT audits (applications, infrastructure, security, change), managing co-sourced providers to ensure high-quality, timely and value-led outcomes.
- Oversee audit planning, workload allocation and integrated audit activities including reviews of automated controls and utilisation of data-enabled techniques.
- Review and quality-assure audit evidence, conclusions and remedial recommendations in line with Internal Audit methodology and IIA standards.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior IT and business stakeholders; present findings to Audit Committee and Executive audiences.
- Contribute to evolution of the Audit Universe and Annual Audit Plan, challenging scope and approach to improve coverage of technology and data risks.
Qualifications
- Significant experience delivering risk-based IT internal audits within complex, global organisations.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, IT infrastructure, information security and technology governance frameworks.
- Proven capability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and to present to Audit Committee / Executive forums.
- Demonstrable people leadership skills with experience coaching and developing audit teams and managing co-sourced suppliers.
- Professional certification preferred (e.g., CISA, CIA, CISSP) and working knowledge of IIA standards and audit methodologies.

Extensive track record of delivering risk-based IT internal audits in complex, multinational organisations, including leading specialist technology reviews, managing external audit resources and influencing senior stakeholders to remediate control gaps.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance or related discipline; advanced degree or professional qualifications (CISA, CIA, CISSP or equivalent) preferred.
