Confidential Luxury Group — Paris: Senior Manager, Finance Compliance to lead financial controls, SOX programme and regulatory compliance across finance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously enhance the finance compliance and internal controls framework (including SOX) across entities and legal structures.
  • Design, implement and monitor control testing programmes; own remediation plans and ensure timely resolution of control deficiencies.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, acting as primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory examiners.
  • Perform periodic risk assessments of finance processes (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, treasury, intercompany) and translate findings into actionable control improvements.
  • Develop and maintain finance compliance policies, procedures and governance documentation; ensure alignment with IFRS/GAAP and group standards.
  • Provide compliance-related advisory to finance and business stakeholders, embedding control and compliance awareness via training and communications.
  • Oversee third-party GRC tools and reporting (implementation, configuration, data integrity and dashboarding).
  • Drive cross-functional projects (ERP, consolidation, process transformation) to ensure compliance-by-design and robust segregation of duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline; a relevant postgraduate degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a compliance, internal audit or controls leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing SOX programmes and external audit relationships within a multinational environment.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP and familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for multinational corporates.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders and to drive change in matrix organisations.

Experience

Approximately 8+ years of finance experience with a strong focus on controls, compliance or internal audit. Prior leadership of SOX or enterprise compliance programmes in a multinational or matrix organisation is expected; experience within luxury retail or consumer goods is advantageous.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent; professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or advanced degree preferred.
