Leading luxury group — London: Senior Manager, Finance Compliance (12-month FTC).
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the finance compliance agenda for the business, developing and executing controls, policies and remediation plans across accounting, reporting and treasury functions.
- Own SOX (or equivalent) compliance programmes: risk assessment, control design, testing, deficiency remediation and external audit coordination.
- Design, implement and monitor financial governance frameworks to ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with internal audit, external auditors, regulators and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and deliver assurance.
- Provide expert advice on accounting treatments, regulatory changes and control implications for new business initiatives, product launches and M&A activity.
- Drive continuous improvement of control automation and reporting using ERP and GRC tools; sponsor process optimisation projects.
- Develop and deliver training and awareness for finance teams on control obligations, policies and best practice.
- Line-manage and mentor a small team or senior analysts; oversee resource planning for the 12-month fixed-term engagement.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent technical finance certification.
- Deep technical knowledge of SOX/internal controls, IFRS and corporate financial reporting.
- Proven ability to lead compliance programmes and to influence senior stakeholders across finance and commercial functions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in control testing, remediation and audit engagement.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical requirements into practical operational guidance.
- Proven experience with ERP systems and control or GRC tooling; comfort with data analysis and automation initiatives.

Experience
Typically 8+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 3 years in a compliance, controls or financial governance leadership role within a multinational corporate environment; prior exposure to luxury, retail or consumer goods is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline; a recognised professional accounting qualification is strongly preferred.
