Senior Manager, Commercial Procurement (IT) — 12-month FTC at a leading luxury house in London. Lead IT sourcing, negotiations and vendor contracts.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end commercial procurement for IT categories, owning strategic sourcing, RFP/RFI processes and supplier selection for a 12-month fixed-term programme.
  • Negotiate and deliver commercial agreements (MSAs, SLAs, SOWs, licensing and subscription contracts) that mitigate risk and optimise total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, establishing KPIs, governance rhythms and remediation plans to secure service quality and continuity.
  • Partner with IT, legal, finance and business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritise spend, and ensure procurement decisions align with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
  • Develop category strategy and savings initiatives, perform spend analysis and market benchmarking to identify commercial levers and consolidation opportunities.
  • Oversee contract lifecycle management and ensure consistent application of procurement policies, approvals and risk controls across IT engagements.
  • Coach and influence cross-functional teams and, where applicable, provide line management for junior procurement or sourcing resources dedicated to IT.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in IT procurement/commercial sourcing with responsibility for end-to-end contracting and supplier management.
  • Demonstrable expertise negotiating complex commercial agreements for software, cloud services, managed services and technology vendors.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; experience partnering with IT, legal and finance in matrixed organisations.
  • Analytical capability to perform spend analysis, build business cases and quantify TCO and cost-avoidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present commercial positions to senior stakeholders.
