Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic category management for complex IT categories across EMEA, the Americas and APAC, defining and delivering multi‑year commercial strategies that drive measurable value.
  • Partner with senior IT leadership to advise on commercial direction, inform investment decisions and prioritise sourcing initiatives aligned to business transformation objectives.
  • Own and execute complex sourcing programmes and rigorous contract negotiations to secure competitive, compliant and high‑quality commercial agreements.
  • Develop and manage key supplier partnerships using Supplier Relationship Management to elevate performance, encourage innovation and mitigate supply‑chain risk.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Information Security and Finance to ensure contracts are commercially sound and compliant with governance and risk frameworks.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to procurement colleagues, promoting best practice in category planning, negotiation and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in IT category management within large, multi‑region organisations.
  • Advanced commercial negotiation skills with experience leading high‑value sourcing and contractual negotiations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability at senior executive level.
  • Excellent analytical ability, comfortable interrogating commercial, financial and technical data to shape decisions.
  • Demonstrable experience in supplier relationship and risk management across complex technology supply bases.

Experience

Typically 7+ years of procurement experience with substantial, demonstrable experience in IT category management and leading cross‑border sourcing programmes within large, complex organisations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; professional procurement qualifications (e.g., CIPS) desirable.
