Burberry seeks a Senior Client Advisor in Shanghai to drive sales and deliver personalised client experiences for the luxury fashion house.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, personalised client experiences to cultivate long‑term relationships and maximise lifetime value.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through consultative selling, upselling and clienteling.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge across ready‑to‑wear, leather goods and accessories to advise clients authoritatively.
  • Proactively grow and manage an active client portfolio using CRM tools and targeted outreach, including follow‑up and appointment management.
  • Support store operational standards: visual merchandising, stock replenishment, loss prevention and accurate transactional procedures.
  • Represent the brand at private client events and trunk shows, coordinating appointments and bespoke service moments.
  • Coach, mentor and share best practices with more junior advisors to elevate team performance and service consistency.
  • Provide timely feedback to store leadership on client insights, market trends and product reception to inform commercial decisions.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in luxury retail sales with demonstrable success meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong clienteling aptitude and experience using CRM systems to develop and retain high‑value clients.
  • Polished interpersonal presence with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential client information with discretion and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and peak trading periods; availability for client events and private appointments.
  • Secondary education required; tertiary qualification in business, fashion, hospitality or a related discipline preferred.
