Burberry is hiring a Senior Accountant in Leeds for Record to Report and group financial reporting at Burberry Business Services.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own and execute Record to Report activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings with precision and timeliness.
  • Prepare, review and present reports that support internal governance and external financial reporting obligations.
  • Take accountability for assigned accounting areas, overseeing related processes and providing guidance to colleagues where required.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for Group Finance and external auditors, ensuring clear, responsive dialogue and audit-ready documentation.
  • Partner with cross‑functional finance stakeholders to resolve queries, provide insight and strengthen ways of working.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes, controls and reporting quality.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant or studying towards a recognised qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Solid experience in financial accounting with applied knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP in a complex corporate environment.
  • Proven capability working with large data sets and financial systems to produce reliable analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communicator with experience collaborating across teams and cultures.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.

Experience
