The Sales Associate drives individual and store sales, delivers the Burberry Experience, develops client relationships and upholds selling-floor, visual and stockroom standards. This is a full-time, at-will position with hourly base pay of $19.50–$20.50, plus sales commission.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Meet and strive to exceed individual and store sales goals while supporting retail-led growth, leveraging the franchise, maintaining operational excellence and developing all department categories.
  • Deliver the Burberry Experience in every customer interaction, develop new customers and maintain relationships with existing clients.
  • Follow training guidelines and standards to uphold Burberry’s luxury brand image and exhibit Burberry Behaviours.
  • Provide excellent customer service and selling expertise, demonstrate motivation to succeed, and apply strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Build customer loyalty through active client development and follow-through; maintain a detailed, up-to-date client book.
  • Complete Cultivate activities, including courtesy and relationship emails, inviting customers back to shop, reactivation and capture compliance.
  • Follow company policies and procedures and use visual techniques to maintain standards in accordance with Burberry guidelines.
  • Understand and execute monthly floor sets; return or hang back items while working; replenish merchandise after sales; fold and place merchandise on the correct hanger with tissue paper as appropriate; and place tickets inside items out of customers’ view.
  • Begin each shift ready on the selling floor and ensure it is prepared for customers; replenish and prepare the floor for the next day at shift end; remain active throughout the day; and maintain and clean fitting rooms.
  • Assist with markdowns and the biannual inventory process; participate in and achieve presale goals and take part in store contests.
  • Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure all pulled stock is returned in an orderly manner.

Qualifications

  • Results-driven and flexible in response to change.
  • Relevant interest in fashion or design.
  • Advanced knowledge of POS and store systems.
  • At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail.
  • Demonstrated experience driving sales and meeting sales targets.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong clienteling background.

Experience

At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.50 to USD 20.50 per hour.
