The Sales Associate supports Burberry’s retail growth by achieving sales goals, delivering the Burberry Experience, developing clients and maintaining store presentation and operations. The role requires at least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail; expected base pay is $19.00–$19.50 per hour at commencement, with potential additional compensation and benefits depending on the position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Meet and strive to exceed individual and store sales goals while supporting retail-led growth, leveraging the franchise, delivering operational excellence, and developing all department categories.
- Deliver the Burberry Experience in every customer interaction, develop new customers, and maintain relationships with existing clientele.
- Follow training guidelines and standards to uphold Burberry’s luxury brand standards and image.
- Demonstrate the Burberry Behaviours while consistently meeting individual sales goals.
- Provide excellent customer service and selling skills, and demonstrate motivation to succeed.
- Build customer loyalty through active client development and follow-through.
- Maintain a detailed, up-to-date client book.
- Complete Cultivate activities, including courtesy and relationship emails, inviting customers to shop again, client reactivation, and capture compliance.
- Follow company policies and procedures and use visual techniques to maintain standards in line with Burberry guidelines.
- Maintain the selling floor by understanding and executing monthly floorsets; returning or hanging back items as work progresses; replenishing merchandise after sales; folding and displaying merchandise with the correct hanger and tissue paper; and placing tickets inside items so they are not visible to customers.
- Arrive on the selling floor ready at the start of each shift or day and ensure the floor is ready for customers.
- Ensure the selling floor is replenished and ready for the next day at the end of each shift or day.
- Remain active and busy on the selling floor throughout the day.
- Keep fitting rooms clean and maintained.
- Assist with markdowns and the biannual inventory process.
- Participate in and achieve presale goals, and take part in store contests.
- Assist with stockroom maintenance and organization, and put pulled stock away in an orderly manner.
Qualifications

- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and take responsibility for personal actions.

- Relevant interest in fashion or design.

- At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail environment.
- Proven experience driving sales and meeting sales targets.
