The Retail Supervisor oversees daily sales-floor operations, coaches associates and drives memorable client experiences, sales goals and KPIs at Burberry. The role includes team development, customer issue resolution, store opening and closing duties, and in-store digital experience leadership.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, assist and motivate sales associates to deliver high-value client experiences on the selling floor, ensuring every customer interaction is memorable.
  • Partner with associates to strengthen selling skills, close sales and achieve sales goals and KPIs.
  • Lead a high-performing, customer-facing and service-oriented team; coach and provide feedback to ensure every customer receives the full Burberry Experience in line with brand strategies.
  • Manage customer flow to ensure excellent service and that no client is left unattended.
  • Foster collaboration on the selling floor among sales associates, specialists, stock associates and the operations team.
  • Coach associates in the moment and after client interactions, discuss successes and opportunities, and ensure follow-through on actions.
  • Develop and retain talented employees through recognition, rewards, monthly development plans and annual performance reviews.
  • Lead by example by delivering the Burberry Experience to customers when needed.
  • Partner with the GM, SM and S&P to oversee Burberry Experience training in store, using morning and weekly meetings, role-play and practical guidance to reinforce key elements and address individual associates’ challenges.
  • Partner with store management to set goal expectations and deliver formal performance feedback through monthly Burberry Experience Development Plans.
  • Resolve difficult customer issues and escalate them to management when necessary.
  • In the absence of store management, process post-void transactions and authorize promotional discounts and employee sales.
  • Drive the in-store digital experience and use digital resources to communicate when face-to-face interaction is not possible.
  • Understand the business and communicate needs and ideas effectively to help advance it.
  • Understand company policies and procedures, and consistently follow and enforce operational guidelines.
  • Assist with store opening and closing, including securing doors, windows and merchandise, activating the store alarm, and following POS procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of a POS system.
  • Previous experience with Apple mobile devices and comfort using digital tools.

Experience

1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in retail sales.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 26 per hour.
