Burberry seeks a Regional Planner (EMEIA) in London to own Rolling OTB, drive forecasting and optimise inventory performance across the region.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Rolling Open to Buy (OTB) for the EMEIA region, ensuring accurate forecasting and monthly reconciliations to the Corporate OTB.
- Develop and deliver the Seasonal Collection OTB in partnership with the Merchandising Director, Regional Merchants, Central Planning and store cluster owners.
- Produce hindsight analysis to inform future buy strategy and strengthen collection development decisions.
- Review and align Seasonal Collection buys with merchandising priorities, focusing on investment decisions, productivity KPIs and regional OTB parameters.
- Monitor in‑season trade performance to identify regional opportunities and risks, escalating insights to drive timely commercial action.
- Support replenishment and carry-forward forecasting at SKU/line level to optimise EMEIA availability, weeks of cover and procurement targets.
- Account for EMEIA hub and transfer decisions to ensure inventory flow supports availability and commercial priorities across markets.
- Partner with merchants to deliver in‑season trading decisions and long‑term category growth strategies aligned to regional performance ambitions.
- Collaborate with the RTW Planning Lead to ensure process consistency and share best practices across the EMEIA region.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business planning, merchandising or inventory planning, ideally within fashion retail.
- Demonstrable understanding of Open to Buy (OTB) management and planning methodologies.
- High level of analytical capability with experience manipulating large datasets across multiple markets.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders at varied seniority levels.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analysis for regional stakeholders.
- Adaptable, proactive and comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Skills
Experience
Several years of hands-on experience in merchandising, demand planning or inventory planning within fashion retail, with demonstrable success managing regional forecasts and driving stock productivity.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Fashion Merchandising, Economics or a related discipline is preferred.
