Burberry — Regional Merchandise Planner in New York: lead Open-to-Buy, inventory forecasting and in‑season planning for the Americas (USD $90k–$105k).
Role & Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Rolling Open to Buy by season and product hierarchy (Full Price/Markdown), ensuring accurate forecasting and governance.
- Develop and maintain the Collection Open to Buy for New, Carry Forward and Replenishment inventory ahead of each Collection and communicate to regional and central partners.
- Produce line-level monthly sales and inventory forecasts for Carry Forward products (by style, size, country) and input to Replenishment forecasts managed centrally.
- Provide commercial insight and in-season reforecasting to maximise sell-through, manage markdown exposure and protect margin targets.
- Monitor trade performance and hindsight analysis; identify risks and opportunities to sales and inventory targets and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with Merchandising, Allocation, Finance, Central Planning and Supply Chain to align buys, place/expedite orders, manage stock rebalances and execute inventory actions (top-ups, cancellations, outlet drops).
- Analyse and validate regional markdown plans and support review of Collection buys to ensure alignment to budgets and KPIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience including at least 2 years in a regional planning role.
- Proven track record across Open to Buy, reforecasting and inventory management within retail or fashion merchandising.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical rigour and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence cross-functional partners.
- Adaptable, proactive and comfortable working with ambiguity.

Experience
Five or more years' experience in retail or fashion planning with at least two years in a regional planning capacity, demonstrating end-to-end commercial planning capability including Open to Buy governance, in-season reforecasting and inventory optimisation.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience.
