Role & Responsibilities
- Execute month-end closing activities including journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations with precision and ownership
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a structured and timely manner
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting through analysis of movements and variance trends
- Produce Record to Report submissions to satisfy internal and external regulatory reporting requirements
- Address ad hoc financial queries and provide analytical insights while managing competing priorities to meet strict deadlines
- Identify and champion process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the finance function
Qualifications
- Part-qualified or progressing towards accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Sound understanding of month-end close processes and balance sheet accounting principles
- Proven experience in reconciliations with ability to investigate and resolve variances with confidence
- Strong analytical and Microsoft Excel capabilities with demonstrated attention to detail and data quality
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across cross-functional teams
- Proactive mindset with commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
Skills
Experience
Demonstrated experience in month-end close activities and balance sheet accounting, with proven ability to perform reconciliations and investigate variances independently. Experience working within a shared services or corporate finance environment is advantageous.
Education
Pursuing or holding partial qualification from a recognized accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
