Burberry seeks a Product Development Administrator in Florence, Italy to manage purchase orders, budgets, and shipments in product development operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and shipments with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring vendors are paid promptly
- Coordinate national and international shipments to and from Florence, liaising with couriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Partner with Trade Compliance to prepare and manage documentation required for import and export activity
- Maintain packing lists, sample order trackers, and seasonal reports to provide visibility to Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams
- Track shipment and Product Development budgets, allocating costs accurately and preparing financial analysis for Finance and leadership
- Monitor development activity including mould costs, delivery progress, and seasonal investment, providing updates aligned to key collection moments
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Practical knowledge of purchase orders, budgets, invoices, and cost tracking in a product-led environment
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams, vendors, couriers, and finance partners
- Proven capability to manage multiple priorities and communicate updates proactively and clearly
Skills
Experience
Experience in administrative roles supporting product development, procurement, or supply chain operations, with demonstrated proficiency in managing purchase orders and budgets in a product-focused environment.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; tertiary qualification in business administration, supply chain management, or related field is advantageous.
