Burberry seeks a Product Developer for Flou & Special Projects in London. Lead luxury garment development from concept to delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of assigned Flou products and Special Projects from design launch through sampling, fittings, approvals and final handover
- Orchestrate collaboration between Design, Atelier, Raw Materials sourcing, external manufacturing partners and cross-functional teams to establish clear decisions, accountability and timelines
- Translate creative requirements into precise development briefs, safeguarding design intent whilst balancing quality, craftsmanship, technical feasibility, cost and delivery schedules
- Identify and manage critical development paths, flagging risks early and presenting pragmatic solutions to maintain product momentum and project progress
- Coordinate bespoke, VIP, event, capsule and time-critical special projects with discretion, including garment fittings, adaptations and accelerated delivery requirements
- Maintain accurate and current product specifications, material information, approval records and cost data within PLM systems and development tracking tools
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product development within luxury fashion, premium fashion or comparable product-driven environments
- Expert knowledge of Flou, soft-sewn or womenswear product categories, informed by deep understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication and luxury finishing techniques
- Demonstrated ability to shepherd multiple products concurrently through concept, sampling, fitting and approval phases whilst adapting to shifting priorities
- Proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
- Fluency in Italian language
Skills
Experience
Experience in product development within luxury fashion, high-end ready-to-wear or comparable product-led environments. Proven track record managing soft-sewn or Flou-category products through the full development lifecycle, including sampling, fittings and approval cycles. Demonstrated success collaborating across design, technical, operational and external partner teams in a fast-paced, matrix-driven setting.
Education
Not specified; professional qualification in fashion design, product engineering, textiles or related field preferred.
