Planning Manager, Soft Accessories at a leading luxury fashion house in Paris. FTC role responsible for forecasting, assortment and inventory planning.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver seasonal merchandise plans and financial targets (sell-in, sell-through, margin and stock levels) for the soft accessories category.
  • Produce demand forecasts at style, colour and size level; own the open-to-buy and allocation process across channels and regions.
  • Optimise assortment, replenishment and inventory across wholesale, retail and e‑commerce to maximise sell-through and minimise markdowns.
  • Translate design-led product plans into executable commercial ranges in close collaboration with Design, Production, Buying and Commercial teams.
  • Create and maintain planning calendars, SKU-level cadence and governance for collection launches and replenishment windows.
  • Develop and present regular performance reporting and KPI dashboards to commercial and senior stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach and coordinate junior planners and cross-functional partners; escalate commercial risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • Ensure data integrity within ERP/planning systems and support continuous improvement of planning tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' planning, merchandising or inventory experience within fashion accessories, leather goods or luxury apparel.
  • Proven track record of delivering forecasts and profitable inventory outcomes across retail and wholesale channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience translating design assortments into sellable ranges and margin plans.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence senior stakeholders.
  • High numerical literacy and attention to detail, with experience producing SKU-level financials and KPIs.
