Leading luxury fashion house — Paris — Planning Manager, Soft Accessories (FTC): responsible for forecasting, OTB and inventory planning for accessories.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own merchandise planning and financial forecasting for the soft accessories assortment (handbags, small leather goods, soft accessories), ensuring alignment with commercial targets and brand positioning.
- Define and manage open‑to‑buy (OTB) and allocation strategies across channels and regions to optimise sell‑through and stock performance.
- Generate short‑ and long‑term demand forecasts using historical sell‑through, market intelligence and launch plans; translate forecasts into purchase orders and inventory plans.
- Collaborate with buying, product, production and supply‑chain partners to synchronise lead times, replenishment and delivery schedules.
- Monitor weekly/monthly sell‑through, ageing and markdown exposure; recommend corrective actions including reallocation, reorders or promotional tactics.
- Maintain and improve planning tools, reports and KPIs; present commercial performance and forecasts to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to assortment strategy, pricing tests and lifecycle management for core and seasonal accessories ranges.
- Coach and liaise with regional/planning teams to ensure consistent processes, data integrity and adherence to governance.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in merchandise planning, forecasting and inventory management within luxury fashion or premium accessories categories.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales, margin and inventory KPIs to drive decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional communication skills with buyers, product and supply‑chain teams.
- Fluent business communication in English; additional language skills desirable depending on market coverage.
- Experience working with planning/ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet modelling.

Experience
Typically 4–7 years of progressively responsible experience in merchandise planning, demand forecasting or inventory management within luxury fashion, accessories or leather goods, including exposure to international wholesale and retail operations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, Economics or a related discipline; master's degree or specialised commercial training is a plus.
