Burberry in London seeks a Planning Manager to lead global rolling OTB, inventory optimisation and delist strategy across channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Consolidate and maintain the Global Rolling Open-to-Buy (OTB) across all channels (full-price stores, digital, outlet, wholesale).
- Prepare insightful, data-driven analyses of channel performance versus plan and identify risks to inventory and margin targets.
- Collaborate with group finance and the planning leadership to set and track annual margin and sales targets by product division.
- Assess option plans and convert into OTB to evaluate revenue per option and assortment productivity.
- Coordinate global stock rebalances, manage rebalance templates, and publish cross‑business overviews of stock movements.
- Maintain the Global Delist files to provide an accurate product lifecycle view and propose global exit routes to maximise clearance while protecting full-price sales.
- Identify and promote opportunities to improve global sell‑through, reduce weeks of cover and optimise inventory holding by channel.
- Build strong working relationships with Retail, Collection Merchandising, Wholesale and Finance to align inventory strategy and execution.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in a planning or analytical role within retail, supporting global OTB or inventory management.
- Proven ability to prepare commercial analyses and present clear recommendations to commercial and finance stakeholders.
- Excellent advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modelling and data validation).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical rigour and numerical fluency.
- Effective communicator with experience managing cross‑functional relationships.
- Ability to prioritise, problem-solve and deliver against competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
Experience
3+ years of planning or commercial analysis experience within a retail or fashion environment, with demonstrable exposure to OTB management, inventory reconciliation and cross-channel stock optimisation.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Fashion Merchandising or a related discipline preferred.
