Burberry seeks Planning Manager, Inventory Planning in London to lead global Open to Buy planning and inventory strategy across regions and channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own global and regional Open to Buy planning across full-price stores, digital, outlet and wholesale channels, ensuring inventory and productivity assumptions align with commercial priorities
- Develop and execute long-term global inventory strategy across the product lifecycle, translating financial and commercial objectives into actionable plans
- Prepare and present Open to Buy recommendations to senior leadership, communicating sophisticated analysis in clear, compelling formats
- Partner with Finance, Merchandising, regional teams, Replenishment and Supply Chain functions to align revenue, procurement, margin and inventory targets
- Identify sales, margin and inventory risks, recommending rebalancing, markdown and delist actions that improve sell-through and reduce exposure
- Lead, coach and develop junior Planner, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous talent development across the planning community
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in global inventory or merchandise planning with responsibility for complex commercial plans across multiple regions or channels
- Strong expertise in Open to Buy management, inventory productivity, stock turn, margin planning and forecasting
- Demonstrated ability to translate detailed analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Experience building effective relationships across Finance, Merchandising, Planning, Replenishment and Supply Chain functions
- Proven capability to support the development of others and create an inclusive, accountable team environment
