Role & Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in implementing policies and procedures to optimize store operations.
- Act as the General Manager or Assistant General Manager when necessary to ensure seamless store operations.
- Oversee the efficiency of the sales floor through effective management of operational support roles such as Cashiers, Wrappers, and Runners.
- Ensure optimal staff scheduling to align with customer traffic and operational demands.
- Manage the Stockroom and related processes, including deliveries, dispatches, and inventory management.
- Assist in overseeing Asset and Profit Protection functions to enhance service delivery and minimize loss.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and maintain store standards.
- Drive the digital strategy and engage employees with new digital initiatives.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop store operational support staff, fostering a coaching environment.
- Communicate company messages effectively and embody Burberry’s core values as a Brand Ambassador.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in networking, recruiting, training, and developing staff.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to business needs.
- Operational performance experience in high-volume retail environments.
- Technical proficiency with SAP and MS applications.
Skills
Experience
Demonstrated strong operational performance within a high-volume and high-turnover retail environment. Experience in other relevant service sectors will be considered.
