Role & Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate daily operations of the shopping centre, including facilities maintenance, building engineering, custodial services and groundskeeping to ensure seamless guest experience.
- Manage third-party vendors and contractors; negotiate scopes of work, service-level agreements and oversee quality control and compliance.
- Administer operating budgets; monitor expenses, prepare financial reports and identify cost-efficiencies and capital requirements.
- Lead safety, security and life‑safety programs; ensure regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness and incident response protocols.
- Serve as primary operations liaison to tenants and leasing teams; resolve tenant requests, coordinate tenant installations and support merchandising events.
- Plan and oversee capital projects, retrofits and renovation workstreams; manage timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications.
- Recruit, coach and develop operations staff; set performance objectives and maintain staffing models to align with peak retail cycles.
- Produce operational KPIs and management reporting; recommend process improvements to optimise uptime and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facilities management, engineering, real estate or a related discipline preferred.
- Professional certification in property/facility management preferred (examples: CPM, RPA) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as required by retail schedules.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), life‑safety codes and applicable local regulations.

Minimum 5 years of progressive operations or facilities management experience, ideally within shopping centres, large retail environments or commercial real-estate; at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
