Role & Responsibilities
- Own and drive the critical path for Women's Accessories (bags, small leather goods, shoes, jewelry, eyewear, and beauty) to direct product range development and implementation of the Global Brand buy
- Lead and partner effectively with cross-functional teams across the region and headquarters including Collection Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, Global Sourcing, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Digital on key strategic decisions
- Analyze weekly and monthly sales reports to propose appropriate corrective actions, proactively managing business challenges and anticipating market needs
- Establish and nurture effective working relationships with the Retail team (Market Directors, Store Managers) to gather product feedback and conduct market research
- Partner with Client Engagement to support customer-focused initiatives and drive loyalty
- Collect and present competitive analysis to headquarters partners while advocating for regional market needs
- Develop and monitor the seasonal range plan to align with development and sales targets
- Coach, inspire, motivate, and develop the merchandising team, including direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture
- Develop and present the seasonal range plan encompassing pricing strategy, cost of ownership, and competitive positioning with merchandising support
- Present the brand buy to regional teams for market opening and campaign activation
- Create and deliver comprehensive product knowledge training sessions for the category in partnership with the wider merchandising team
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of merchandising or buying experience in women's accessories for multi-category retail brands
- Demonstrated people management and direct leadership experience
- Strong analytical and retail mathematics skills
- Proven commercial acumen and retail market instinct
- Deep passion for product design and fashion trends
- Exceptional written and verbal communication across organizational levels
