Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute inventory planning and replenishment strategies to optimise in-season availability and stock turns across channels and markets.
  • Produce weekly and monthly forecasts, demand plans and open-to-buy reports aligned with merchandising and financial objectives.
  • Manage allocation of stock to wholesale, mono-brand and multi-brand points of sale, adjusting flows based on sell-through and market signals.
  • Monitor sell-through, ageing, and markdown risk; recommend corrective actions including rebalancing, promotions or transfers.
  • Collaborate with buying, planning, supply chain and store operations to ensure launch readiness and seamless product flow.
  • Define and track KPIs (sell-through, sell-in, stock cover, turns) and produce executive-level reporting for seasonal reviews.
  • Maintain and optimise planning systems and data integrity; implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Support assortment and range reviews with inventory implications, contributing to buy decisions and commercial scenario modelling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, fashion merchandising, supply chain, economics or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in inventory planning, merchandising or assortment planning within fashion or luxury retail.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability with a track record of improving forecast accuracy and inventory efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to influence cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and capacity to work to tight seasonal deadlines.
  • Fluency in industry-standard planning systems and advanced spreadsheet skills.

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of progressive experience in inventory planning, merchandising or merchandise planning within fashion, luxury or premium retail environments. Demonstrable success optimising stock levels, improving forecasting accuracy and partnering with buyers and retail operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, fashion merchandising, supply chain management, economics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
